10 Favorite Love Songs By Paul McCartney

For someone who was once accused of having written only "silly love songs" after his Beatles days, Paul McCartney has written remarkably few love songs. At least when it comes to songs with the simple message "I love you", because that is the limitation that I have imposed on compiling this list. 
So no songs about unrequited love, or platonic love, bromances or about love as an emotion we all need, but songs that are a tribute to your loved one. My first "long list" consisted of only about twenty tracks, not much for a solo career of nearly fifty years. Here are my personal ten picks, in chronological order, starting with love songs from the seventies.
