Horns Freshen Up McCartney’s Live Band (video)
Paul McCartney has extended his live band with a triple brass section. That turned out last night, September 17, in Canadian Québec where his new 'Freshen Up' world tour started. The supplement does not come as a surprise. During a Q & A last week on Twitter, he already hinted at them joining the band, after the horn players made their debut a few days earlier at McCartney's performance in New York’s Grand Central Station.

McCartney played three songs last night from his new album Egypt Station: Who Cares, Come On To Me and Fuh You. In addition, the setlist had no surprises, despite the promising name of the new tour. In fact, the Freshen Up Tour is the first one since McCartney started touring again in 2002, with no songs included in the setlist that he has never played before. In that respect, the set list is disappointing.
The Freshen Up Tour will continue with three more gigs in Canada and two performances at the Austin City Limits Festival in the US. After that McCartney is heading to Japan and Europe.
