McCartney plays secret gig in Liverpool

McCartney havs played an unannounced gig in a pub in Liverpool this afternoon, Saturday June 9. Crowds gathered in at the Philharmonic pub as rumors grown during the day that McCartney will perform there. On Friday the local newspaper Liverpool Echo reported that a television tickets company was looking for local people to be in the audience for an exclusive secret gig with a “global superstar”.

McCartney is making a surprise visit Liverpool and was spotted earlier today with the comedian/tv-host James Corden on several locations in Liverpool, which fed rumors that Paul McCartney will be one of the next guests in James Corden's Carpool Karaoke.
In the American TV show The Late Late Show, Corden drives various celebrities around and sings along to their music. Among others Stevie Wonder, Chris Martin and Michelle Obama featured previously the Carpool Karaoke. Corden stated in the past that Paul McCartney would be his dream guest on the show.

Corden and McCartney were spotted while they were filming on various, Beatles related, locations. A lot of photos and videos were shared on Social Media, like this one when they visited Paul’s parental home.

They were also seen at the statue of The Beatles, where they made a selfie for the statue of McCartney:
