In the Blink of an Eye available for download
The new Paul McCartney song In the Blink of an Eye is available on iTunes for download, although you have to download a whole album to obtain the track. McCartney wrote the song for the animated movie Ethel and Ernest. The soundtrack album is also available on Spotify, but without the McCartney song. In the Blink of an Eye sounds a bit like Hope for the Future, the track Paul had written for the video game Destiny two years ago.
The new song brings a renewed collaboration with Carl Davis, who worked with McCartney on his first classical score, the 1991 Liverpool Oratorio. For the new song Davis conducted the string arrangements, performed by the Chambre of Orchestre of London. In The Blink of an Eye plays over the end credits of the movie.
On the album you'll also find a new cover version of Walking in the park with Eloise, which is written by Paul's father Jim McCartney. Macca recorded this song in 1974 in Nashville, Tennessee and released it as a single under the pseudonym The Country Hams. It also appeared on the 1993 release of Wings at the Speed of Sound and the 2014 release of Venus and Mars.
