McCartney's Secret Event: Live at Abbey Road

A small private concert at the Abbey Road Studios, that was the secret event that Paul McCartney announced on social media last week. With his regular live band he performed more than twenty songs, including some of his new upcoming album, Egypt Station. The event could be followed at a distance via social media. Around midday the first tweets appeared, reporting the arrival of Sir Paul at the famous zebra crossing of Abbey Road.

Meanwhile, several hundreds of fans gathered at the Abbey Road studio who have been invited to attend the unique concert. They received that invitation after being called in last week to post a video on why they should be invited. Hundreds of fans did send in a video message and got lucky. Among the attendees were also some stars from the music and film industry, such like Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Kylie Minogue, as well as McCartney's daughter Stella:

During the concert Paul played 22 songs including four songs from the new album Egypt Station: Come On To Me, Confidante, Who Cares and Fuh You. Afterwards, fans expressed themselves enthusiastically: "One of the happiest days of my life", according to an Italian fan on Twitter.

The setlist below could also have given an indication of what we could expect from the new Freshen Up Tour, which will start in September. But the set list is still largely the same as during the last One-On-One Tour, with the exception of the new songs. So it remains to be seen to what extent the setlist is being refreshed.
