New 60's documentary including McCartney
Paul McCartney is going to appear in a new documentary called My Generation, “a perceptive and entertaining journey through the ‘Swinging Sixties’ in London and the societal upheaval that still resonates today in the UK and around the world”. The film’s world premiere is next week at the Venice International Film Festival 2017.
British film icon Michael Caine narrates and stars in 'My Generation' with the participation of Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, Mary Quant, Marianne Faithfull, and many other icons. The feature-length documentary film is based on personal accounts by Caine, recent interviews and archive footage. It has been assembled over the last six years by Caine working with producer Simon Fuller, writers Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais and director David Batty.
The Venice International Film Festival, where annually the Golden and Silver Lions are awarded, is organized for the 74th time and will start Wednesday, August 30th. My Generation’s premiere is set for Monday, September 5th, the documentary is out of competition. If, when and where it will be screened in cinemas is not known yet.
