McCartney’s New Year’s Wish: A Really Great New Album

On his website, Paul McCartney reveals he is finishing of his new album at the beginning of the new year. On the question what he’d like to achieve in 2018, McCartney answered:

I’ll probably be putting out a new album. So, I’d like that to be something I really love and then hopefully the fans will love it too! We’re putting the finishing touches to it now and at the beginning of next year. So, I would like to achieve making that a really great album. Fingers crossed! That’s not what it’s called, but fingers crossed! [Pauses] It could be… it COULD be the new album title!”

McCartney’s new album is produced by Greg Kurstin, who said that he was impressed by Paul’s new material:

All I can say is that when he brings songs to the studio, it blows my mind that he’s still coming up with the most amazing songs.

The new album was actually thought to be released this year, but last October McCartney stated that he was still working on it and that he had about three quarters of the material.
